Pesticides (DBCP) in Fresno, CA: 2008

The levels of DBCP found in our drinking water is one of the chemicals that Fresno's Dept. of Public Waste has been caught withholding from the public. Odd is that this pesticide has not been manufactured since 1977, has a short lifespan, yet continues to ESCALATE in Fresno, CA. Are old supplies of this being used behind the illegal altering of city sewer and water lines? Is this why DPW refuses soil testing, even after evidence of severe health crises, including death? EPA may catch the cover-ups but they are still unaware of what is going on behind closed doors or they would likely discover an operation entailing felony altering of sewer and water lines - no authorization, permits or inspections. Is this behind the cause of Fresno's poor water quality and various health crises? It would appear that way, yet to date, it has not been looked into.

Bottled water is not the answer. These chemicals are absorbed through skin and through inhaling.

Are children are playing in toxic, contaminated soil? Dibromochloropropane (DBCP), one of those chemicals, causes sterility in males and linked to cancer, skin diseases, and disabilities. Children have been born with severe birth defects linked to DBCP.
